Dispensing Medications at Severn Edge Vets
As a practice the team at Severn Edge Farm Vets take the dispensing and prescribing of medications, vaccinations and preventatives very seriously. We work under the Code of Conduct laid out by the RCVS. At our Bridgnorth Practice we have a large well stocked dispensary, with a team of knowledgeable Vets and SQPs in the practice that are always happy to help.
POM- V Medications:
POM- V Medications are those that can be prescribed only by a Vet. For us to prescribe a medication to your animals you will need to speak to a vet. They will discuss the case, of the herd/ flock issue and then look to offer solutions from there. We have stock of some POM- V medications at Cleobury and Ludlow however all meds from these practices must be pre ordered and authorised.
Vaccinations:
We have a dispensary at Bridgnorth with a huge stock of vaccines, these are available on a walk in or pre order basis. We suggest that if you need specific doses please call us first to confirm what we have in stock. Please remember that most vaccines are fridge meds and need to be kept chilled when you transport them from practice. Leaving a live vaccine in a hot vehicle for just 30 minutes is enough to render the vaccine ineffective. Vaccines must be used quickly after the bottle is opened for the first time.
