MOBILITY AND BODY CONDITION SCORING: 

Trained up to the ROMS mobility scoring standards, our Vet Tech team can assess your whole herd mobility this is becoming a requirement on most milk contracts. We will then produce a report which will be sent to you. Each report shows the progress since the last assessment, and problem cows easily identified for corrective treatment as required.

Our Vet Techs can also carry out Body Condition Scoring (BCS) for the herd (or flock) on a chosen day of your choice. This is normally scheduled in alongside routine visits and often a requirements on a number of the current milk contracts.

SAMPLING: 

Our team of Vet Techs are trained to collect a variety of samples for diagnostic testing, including milk and faecal samples. It can be particularly helpful to have and extra pair of hands to collect samples at milking and when handling stock. These samples can be taken on standalone visits or can often be paired with TB testing.

DISBUDDING:

Severn Edge Farm advise using the team of Vet Techs for disbudding, not only does our procedure utilise long acting pain relief but the team are quick and efficient.
